Job Description:

Patient Care

As a Nurse at IWellness Veterans Center, your primary responsibility will be to provide high-quality patient care, including:

  • Assessing and monitoring patients' health, including vital signs (blood pressure, heart rate, temperature).
  • Administering medications, injections, and treatments prescribed by physicians.
  • Assisting in wound care, dressing changes, and other routine medical procedures.
  • Helping patients with daily activities, such as bathing, dressing, and mobility.

Patient Education

You will also educate patients and their families on managing health conditions and recovery processes, including:

  • Guidance on medication management, dietary changes, and lifestyle adjustments.
  • Emotional support to patients and families dealing with health challenges.

Medical Documentation

Accurate and up-to-date patient records are crucial to our team's success. As a Nurse, you will:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting care, treatments, and any changes in patient conditions.
  • Communicate critical information to physicians, specialists, and other members of the healthcare team.

Collaboration with Healthcare Teams

We work closely with doctors, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans. As a Nurse, you will:

  • Participate in patient rounds, ensuring continuity of care and discussing ongoing treatment needs.

Advocacy

Serving as an advocate for patients is essential to our mission. As a Nurse, you will:

  • Safeguard patient rights and privacy, in accordance with ethical and legal standards.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and institutional policies.
