About the Company

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Healthcare IT Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, a strong technical background, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical staff. About the Role

The Healthcare IT Technician will be responsible for maintaining and supporting the IT infrastructure within a healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and support healthcare IT infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Provide training to staff on new technologies.
  • Monitor system performance and security.
  • Install and configure hardware and software.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to understand IT needs.
  • Perform regular system backups and updates.
  • Develop and implement IT policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the integration of new technologies.
  • Provide on-call support for IT emergencies.
  • Document IT processes and procedures.
  • Ensure data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Manage user accounts and access controls.
  • Coordinate with vendors for IT services and products.
  • Conduct regular audits of IT systems.
  • Support telehealth and remote patient monitoring systems.
  • Maintain inventory of IT equipment.
  • Stay updated on the latest healthcare IT trends and technologies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in IT support, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare IT systems and regulations.
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of network and server management.
  • Experience with data backup and recovery.
  • Familiarity with healthcare compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Experience with IT security best practices.
  • Ability to provide training and support to non-technical staff.
  • Willingness to stay updated on the latest IT trends and technologies.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with telehealth systems is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Experience with IT project management.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar are a plus.
