Position Summary
We are seeking a Customer Service Representative – Medical Appointment Setter to join our growing healthcare support team. In this role, you will be responsible for contacting patients, scheduling medical appointments, confirming details, and ensuring a smooth and professional patient experience for our U.S.-based healthcare partners.
This position is ideal for someone who is bilingual (English/Spanish), tech-savvy, and passionate about providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle outbound and inbound calls to schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments.
- Communicate clearly and professionally in English and Spanish with patients and healthcare providers.
- Accurately enter patient information, appointment details, and notes into electronic scheduling systems or EMRs.
- Follow established protocols to verify insurance or pre-appointment requirements when applicable.
- Maintain excellent call quality and data accuracy in all interactions.
- Collaborate with team leads and internal departments to resolve scheduling conflicts or patient inquiries.
- Meet daily productivity and service-level goals while maintaining compliance with company standards.
- Participate in training sessions and team meetings to continuously improve service delivery and performance.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Fluent in English and Spanish (both verbal and written) – strong communication is essential.
- Minimum of 1 year of customer service or call center experience (healthcare industry preferred).
- Tech-savvy – comfortable using CRMs, scheduling platforms, or electronic health record systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and time management.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills with a patient and empathetic tone.
- Must be available to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (EST).
- Willingness to work in a hybrid environment (initial training on-site, then partial remote work once fully onboarded).
- Reliable internet connection and workspace for remote workdays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a healthcare, scheduling, or medical office environment.
- Knowledge of EMR systems or patient scheduling software.
- Experience working with U.S.-based clients or in an international BPO setting.
