Overview
This incumbent in this position is responsible for overseeing all operations for Internal Audit department at the Casino; directs and coordinates audit operating activities to achieve optimum operating efficiencies and economies and maximize company revenues and profits. Its main objective is to ensure that operations are carried out correctly, transparently and in line with the internal policies, laws and regulations of the gambling sector.

Responsibilities
Essential Functions

  • Perform periodic internal audits in areas such as cashier, table games, slot machines, accounting, Human Resources, compliance, security and others.
  • Verify that internal controls are in place in all casino operations.
  • Assess risks and recommend improvements to strengthen processes.
  • Detect irregularities, fraud, errors or non-compliance.
  • Prepare clear reports with findings, conclusions, and suggested actions.
  • Follow up on corrective actions with managers or managers.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all information.

Otherr Functions

  • Know, understand, and practice (with energy and enthusiasm) the mission, values, mottos, culture and spirit that make Hard Rock unique.
  • Operate ethically to protect the image of Hard Rock.
  • Perform duties in accordance with company standards, policies, guidelines, ICMPs (Internal Control Minimum Procedures) and local laws and regulations.
  • Perform other duties as requested.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Administration, Finance or related areas.
  • Be a professional graduated with more than 5 years since obtaining the bachelor's degree.
  • Possess an accredited certification or minimum experience of 2 years in audits or internal controls related to the prevention of Money Laundering (LA/FT/FPADM).
  • Previous audit experience, preferably in casinos or regulated companies.
  • Knowledge of internal controls, accounting standards and risk management.
  • Handling of Microsoft office packages.
  • Attention to detail, strict ethics and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and with high responsibility.
  • Must possess ability to write clearly and concisely and effectively present information to all levels of management.
  • Fully bilingual (English & Spanish) is required.
