We are seeking an Investment Opportunities Specialist to support our operations in the Dominican Republic. This role will involve working closely with our industry teams to identify and develop investment opportunities, conduct market research, and analyze financial data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a good understanding of the economic, political, and business environment in the Dominican Republic.
  • Contribute to the development of our country strategy documents, including Country Private Sector Diagnostics and Country Partnership Frameworks.
  • Work with our investment, advisory, and upstream teams to roll out our strategy and develop a strong project pipeline.
  • Build and maintain relationships with the private sector and other stakeholders to support business development and portfolio management.

Requirements

  • A post-graduate degree in finance, business administration, management, economics, or a similar field.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in development finance, corporate finance, investment, or commercial banking.
  • Strong analytical, credit, and financial modeling skills, as well as experience assessing the viability of business opportunities and risks.
  • Good understanding of IFC's investment and advisory business lines and products.
  • Excellent English and Spanish language skills, written and oral.
