Job Description

PST is a leading organization in the field of customs tariffs. We are seeking an experienced Senior Tariff Compliance Specialist to join our team.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in reasoning and logic, data organization, and experience in the field of customs tariffs. They will be responsible for monitoring, researching, and understanding international customs tariffs and duty rates that impact our clients' ability to do business internationally.

They will also be required to maintain and utilize current regulatory expertise to ensure that our database of customs tariffs is up-to-date and compliant with regulatory changes. Additionally, they will need to follow and understand current international events and regulations related to customs tariffs, update information from regulations and laws, and implement it in specific tasks.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Foreign Trade, International Business, or any other related field. They will also possess extensive experience understanding and communicating technical processes and legal documents to people with diverse professional backgrounds.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and utilize current regulatory expertise to ensure compliance with regulatory changes.
  • Follow and understand current international events and regulations related to customs tariffs.
  • Update internal controls and procedure manuals following business requirements and regulations.
  • Coordinate with other departments, assign, manage, and complete tasks through effective management of available personnel.
  • Write clear documentation on processes and ensure that the entire workflow is well-documented and sufficiently clear for everyone.
  • Trouble-shoot customer complaints, faulty workflows, missing data, etc.
  • Act as a supervisor for large language models.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Foreign Trade, International Business, or any other related field.
  • Expertise in reasoning and logic, and data organization.
  • Experience in the field of customs tariffs.
  • Extensive experience understanding and communicating technical processes and legal documents to people with diverse professional backgrounds.
  • Project management and coordination skills.
  • Professional communication skills.

Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per year (depending on experience). Please note that this salary estimate is based on industry standards and may vary depending on various factors such as location and qualifications.
