For the past 11 years, we've helped cutting-edge companies in the United States and Canada build great development teams and develop great products. Our team is highly connected, united, and culturally diverse, and our collaborators are involved in many initiatives around the world, from wildlife preservation to volunteering at local charities. We stand for honesty, fairness, respect, efficiency, hard work, and cooperation.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for an IT Security Administrator to join Blue Coding's internal team and support the implementation, enforcement, and continuous improvement of our company-wide security practices.
This role combines IT security administration with remote IT support, working closely with internal teams to ensure secure access, data protection, compliance, and day-to-day technical assistance for collaborators. You will play an important role in safeguarding company data, supporting onboarding and offboarding processes, and helping employees apply security best practices in their daily work.
The ideal candidate has a strong IT background, a solid understanding of security frameworks and compliance requirements, and a proactive, organized approach to administrative and operational tasks in a remote-first environment.
If you are fully fluent in English, proactive, communicate well, like to solve problems, and have strong attention to detail, this role might be a great fit for you Our jobs are fully remote and you will be integrated directly into the client's team, gaining valuable experience and forming meaningful connections.
The person for this position is expected to be based in the LATAM region. Here are some of the day-to-day responsibilities you will have in this role:
  • Assist in implementing and enforcing company-wide security policies, ensuring adherence to data protection and access control standards.
  • Administer and monitor access control and permissions for collaborators and external vendors, following the principle of least privilege.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including account provisioning, deprovisioning, MFA setup, and troubleshooting access issues.
  • Manage and support our Google Workspace–centric internal tooling, including user accounts and permissions.
  • Oversee secure data storage, backup, and transfer processes, assisting employees with secure file sharing, device encryption, and approved data-handling workflows.
  • Collaborate with HR and IT to organize and deliver security awareness training for collaborators.
  • Conduct security audits and support compliance with internal policies and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
  • Act as a point of contact during security incidents, supporting containment actions such as account lockouts, credential resets, and device isolation.
  • Provide remote IT support for common technical needs, including device setup, software installation, and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation, including security policies, procedures, runbooks, and internal support guides.
You will shine if you have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in IT administration with a strong focus on security.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST) and data protection regulations (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).
  • Experience with access control management, user permissions, and role-based access systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • A proactive mindset that anticipates needs and takes initiative with minimal direction.
  • Excellent communication skills for working with cross-functional, fully remote teams.
  • Comfort handling administrative and operational tasks as part of a security-focused role.
It doesn't hurt if you also have:
  • Salary in USD
  • Part-time, flexible engagement with an on-demand collaboration model, ideal for professionals working with multiple clients.
  • Remote work (LATAM-based, preferably Dominican Republic)
  • Opportunity to work on internal, high-impact security initiatives
