General Responsibilities
Install, configure, and implement IBM Mainframe z/OS operating systems and Independent Software Vendor (ISV) software. Analyze and solve production problems related to IBM Mainframe system. Responsible for IBM periodic operating system and hardware maintenance. Responsible for maintaining disaster recovery procedures and capacity planning.
Knowledge and Skills Required
• Knowledge of z/OS, operating systems
• Experience in installation and maintenance procedures using SMP/E is preferred.
• IBM Utilities ( Adrdssu , Idcams , Iebgener , Iebcopy ).
• Ability to plan and coordinate effectively with technical support personnel
• Problem management skills with emphasis in problem analysis and root cause determination and resolution
• Knowledge in one or more of the following software programs: Microsoft Word Processing, Excel and Power Point.
• Experience in documentation tasks and/or process.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish, both written and oral.
2-Z/VM

• Responsible for IBM's periodic operating system and hardware maintenance.
• Responsible for maintaining disaster recovery procedures and capacity planning.
Knowledge and Skills Required
Knowledge of Z/VM operating systems. ( Install, configure, and implement IBM Mainframe Z/VM and Z/Linux Operating systems and Independent Software Vendor (ISV) software.)
Knowledge of Z/VSE operating systems.
• IBM Utilities ( Idcams, Ditto, etc.).
Responsible for maintaining disaster recovery procedures and capacity planning.
Ability to plan and coordinate effectively with technical support personnel.
Problem management skills with emphasis on problem analysis and root cause determination and resolution.
Knowledge of Microsoft Word Processing, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Experience in documentation tasks and processes.
Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish, both written and oral.
Knowledge of Zos or Z/Linux, operating systems is preferable.
