We're looking for a Regional Payroll Manager to join our team in Prague, Czech.
As the Regional Payroll Manager, you will lead our payroll operations across multiple countries. You will be a hands-on leader with a strong technical background, a passion for process improvement, and a proven ability to manage complex payroll environments.
You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of our payroll processes while managing a team of payroll advisors, overseeing key vendor relationships, and driving strategic automation projects.
Main Tasks And Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of payroll advisors, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement; manage daily team activities, workloads, and timely and accurate payroll cycles.
- Oversee the end-to-end payroll process for multiple countries within the region, providing guidance to the team on payroll inputs, validations, and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Ensure full compliance with all local, regional, and national payroll regulations, tax laws, and reporting requirements and act as the primary point of contact for internal and external payroll audits.
- Identify, design, and lead automation projects aimed at enhancing payroll efficiency, accuracy, and scalability, including leveraging existing systems and exploring new technologies.
- Manage the relationship with our third-party payroll outsourcing vendors, including monitoring service levels, negotiating contracts, and ensuring a high standard of service delivery.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for payroll-related functionality within our HRIS and payroll systems.
- You have proven experience managing regional or global payroll operations, with a track record of leading a team of payroll professionals.
- You have demonstrated expertise with different HRIS and payroll systems; hands-on experience with Workday, SAP, or PeopleSoft is highly preferred.
- You can communicate fluently in English; proficiency in an additional language is a plus.
- You have in-depth knowledge of European payroll legislation, tax regulations, and labour laws across multiple jurisdictions.
- You have strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- You have solid experience managing relationships with and overseeing the performance of third-party payroll outsourcing vendors.
