Development of Credit Policy, Processes, and Procedures for Esperanza Internacional (DR)

Esperanza's Credit Operations Are Currently Governed By a Mix Of Credit Policy, Legacy Guidelines, Manuals, And Informal Practices That Have Evolved Over Time. To Support Continued Growth And Institutional Maturity, Esperanza Requires:

  • A revised Credit Policy that conforms with the laws and regulations of the Dominican Republic, and with HOPE network and international microfinance best practices.
  • A Credit Process Manual that defines clear, standardized end-to-end workflows across the full credit cycle.
  • A Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Manual that provides credit staff with step-by-step instructions, templates, checklists, and forms.

This project will consolidate fragmented practices into a single coherent framework, strengthen credit risk management and portfolio quality, improve operational efficiency and turnaround time, ensure lawful compliance, and provide a foundation for digitization and integration with credit scoring tools being rolled out across the HOPE network.

HOPE International invites qualified international consulting firms to submit proposals for the design and development of a comprehensive Credit Policy, Credit Process Manual, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) governing the end-to-end credit operations of Esperanza. We invite your firm to submit a proposal by August 7 2026 for consideration.
