About The Role
As a Public Policy Specialist for CEE, you'll support Bolt's Public Policy work across Central and Eastern Europe, with a primary focus on the Czech Republic and Slovakia and additional support for Poland. Working closely with the Public Policy Manager and wider CEE team, you'll help shape and execute our government affairs strategy across Rides, Deliveries, and Drive. You'll analyse regulatory developments, build relationships with key stakeholders, prepare policy positions and briefing materials, and support selected EU Affairs projects. This role is envisioned to be based in Prague, Czech Republic, with Poland also considered as a location. Main Tasks And Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with government representatives, policymakers, NGOs, civil society groups, passenger and commuter organisations, safety organisations, and other relevant stakeholders to support Bolt's government affairs strategy.
- Monitor, research, and analyse legislation, regulations, and public policies, assessing their potential impact on Bolt's operations and developing recommendations and proposed amendments where appropriate.
- Prepare policy analyses, talking points, briefing materials, letters, reports, and other written materials for internal teams and external stakeholder engagements.
- Support Public Policy priorities across Bolt's Rides, Deliveries, and Drive businesses, providing research and insights that contribute to the team's broader policy strategy.
- Conduct research and stakeholder or platform-user surveys, analysing findings and translating data and feedback into clear insights that support policy positions and identify opportunities for growth.
- Support the CEE Public Policy team's internal communications, ongoing policy matters, and selected EU Affairs projects, with a particular focus on the Czech Republic and Slovakia and additional support for Poland. About You
- You have experience or a strong interest in public policy, government affairs, regulatory affairs, politics, law, economics, or a related field, ideally with exposure to the Czech, Slovak, or broader CEE policy environment.
- You're comfortable analysing legislation and complex policy topics and translating them into clear, practical implications for a business and its stakeholders.
- You're a strong researcher and communicator who can produce concise, high-quality briefing materials, policy analyses, reports, and stakeholder communications.
- You're confident building relationships with a wide range of external stakeholders and can represent complex positions clearly and professionally.
- You're proactive, organised, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment while collaborating across teams and markets.
- You have excellent English communication skills; knowledge of Czech, Slovak, or Polish and familiarity with EU policymaking would be an advantage. *Experience is great, but what we really look for is drive, intelligence, and integrity. So even if you don't tick every box, please consider applying
