Role Description The Senior Network Engineer is a full-time, hybrid role based in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, with flexibility for partial work from home. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, scalable network architectures that support client and internal operations. Day-to-day tasks include network configuration, monitoring performance, diagnosing and resolving complex network issues, and coordinating changes and upgrades to minimize disruption. The Senior Network Engineer collaborates closely with security, cloud, and support teams to ensure seamless integration of network services, adherence to best practices, and compliance with relevant standards. The role also involves documenting network designs and procedures, mentoring junior team members, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications
• Candidates should possess strong skills in Network Engineering and Network Design, including experience with routing, switching, and scalable architectures.
• Candidates should possess solid Network Administration skills, including configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of enterprise network devices and services.
• Candidates should possess advanced Troubleshooting skills to diagnose, analyze, and resolve complex network performance and connectivity issues.
• Candidates should possess robust Network Security skills, including firewalls, VPNs, segmentation, and best practices for securing network infrastructure.
• Experience with hybrid and cloud-connected networks, SD-WAN, and virtualization technologies is beneficial.
• Relevant professional certifications (such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, or equivalent) are highly desirable.
• Strong analytical thinking, documentation skills, and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams are required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency in English and Spanish, both written and spoken, is preferred to support regional and international stakeholders.
