Master Rum Blender / Master Distiller — Confidential Spirits Company

A confidential spirits company is seeking an accomplished technical professional to lead sensory consistency, formulation, maturation and product innovation across its portfolio.

This position combines sensory judgment, scientific knowledge and hands-on spirits expertise to ensure that every product maintains a distinctive, consistent and technically robust profile.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, maintain and execute master formulas and product specifications.
• Oversee maturation processes and systematic barrel control.
• Lead technical tastings and sensory evaluation panels.
• Validate batch consistency and finished-product sensory profiles.
• Lead research and development initiatives for new products, profiles and special editions.
• Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and applicable industry requirements.
• Provide specialized technical support to Production and Quality Control teams.

Required Profile

• Degree in Chemical Engineering, Food Technology, Oenology or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in distillation, maturation, formulation or alcoholic beverage production.
• Hands-on blending experience.
• Experience in sensory evaluation of distilled spirits.
• Ability to combine technical rigor, sensory judgment and product consistency.

Preferred Competencies

• Research and development experience within distilled spirits or alcoholic beverages.
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP and/or ISO 9001.
• Strong technical leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Commitment to quality, innovation and continuous improvement.
• Functional English for technical or international environments.
