Overview
Responsible for managing the effective operations of the Surveillance Department, ensuring operational activities are conducted with the highest levels of integrity. Lead and manage people, develop and manage team commitment, cooperation and performance. Manage an effective relationship with managers and operational departments and monitor staff performance. Carry out operational investigations and present outcomes. Perform duties in compliance with the local state and Federal Laws and the Hard Rock ICMP's.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize and allocate responsibilities according to business needs. Set performance and professional standards for team members through example. Maintain employee morale, work performance and professionalism by promoting a positive work environment. Motivate, coach, and counsel staff in a timely manner.
  • Conduct performance appraisals in accordance with Company policy and in conjunction with the General Manager. Recognize and resolve performance attendance issues and provide performance feedback to the staff in a professional manner.
  • Ensure all situations are handled discreetly and confidentially, providing an example of the professional behavior required by the Surveillance Department. Exercise caution and evaluate circumstances for appropriate security or safety response before taking action. Keep General Manager informed.
  • Manage the implementation and application of policies and procedures relating to gaming and cash handling areas, ensuring compliance is maintained, and that appropriate legislation is abided. Solve problems and make decisions, assisting subordinates when handling difficult/sensitive situations.
  • Maintain a professional relationship with customers and staff members, ensuring approachability and discretion. Promote the Surveillance Department by attending meetings with operational departments as required.
  • Carry out operational investigations. Plan, collect and analyze evidence. Present the outcome and inform the Surveillance Director.
  • Plan and establish systems and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery. Review systems and procedures.
  • Manage special projects, ensuring their completion within designated time frames.
  • Ensure employees follow security policies and procedures and report all violations. Perform duties in compliance with Hard Rock ICMP's.
  • Provides for the technical training of surveillance staff, including training on component design and repair.
  • Maintain flexible schedule.
  • Performs other job-related duties as directed by the General Manager.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience managing surveillance operations, preferably within a gaming environment.
  • Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Shall posses a high level of professionalism and integrity, good organizational skills and time management, attention to detail and self motivated.
  • Demonstrated effective and diplomatic customer service and communication skills, which includes experience handling difficult and sensitive surveillance investigations. Demonstrated technical knowledge of state-of-the art electronic video and Audio surveillance systems, including hands-on experience performing bench work level repair and service.
