Role Overview
The candidate should have experience in working for a broadcast MCRs or network support team.
This is a full-time role for an IP Network Engineer – BGP & Multicast Routing Specialist, based on-site in Santo Domingo. The individual will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing IP networks, focusing on BGP and multicast routing. Daily tasks will include network administration, network engineering, network security practices, and network design implementation. The role also involves regular troubleshooting to ensure network reliability and performance.
- Configure and maintain BGP sessions between autonomous systems.
- Implement routing policies and prefix filtering.
- Design and optimize multicast routing within the BGP infrastructure.
- Collaborate with the NOC team to ensure high availability and redundancy.
- Document configurations and participate in architecture reviews.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
- Engineering Graduate (BE or BTech in Electronics & Telecommunications or equivalent)
- Working experience on IP networks (Cisco switches, routers), configuration management. Cisco certification (CCNA) and CCNP is a plus.
- Candidate should have an excellent communication, process adherence, project management & analytical problem-solving skills.
- English proficiency level: B2 or higher (must be able to communicate fluently in both English and Spanish).
- Network Administration and Network Engineering skills
- Proficiency in Troubleshooting and Network Design implementation
- Experience with Network Security practices
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- 3-6 years of experience in network engineering
- Ability to work on-site in Santo Domingo
