Production Planner

The Production Planner at Costa Farms is a detailed individual, passionate about problem solving and accuracy. As part of the Outdoor Production Planning team, they will be responsible for executing initiatives that support entering and maintaining the Production Plan. By promoting accuracy and timeliness with solutions, the Production Planner contributes to ensuring the alignment of the Demand Plan to drive operational success.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Research and execute Work Order changes when supply constraints are presented by Live Goods Procurement and/or Hard Goods Procurement.
• Research and execute Work Order changes when inventory constraints are presented by Young Plants Inventory.
• Research requests for Live Goods replacements and execute the Work Order changes if feasible.
• Report with regular cadence on all Work Order changes.
• Ensure that the Production Plan is aligned after all changes are made.
• Ensure that the Work Orders have all necessary information for Operations to execute.
• Consult with Live Goods Sourcing when supply constraints are presented with no available solutions.
• Upon receipt of the Demand Plan, thoroughly review the Demand Plan in Sage before execution to ensure that all necessary information is reflected. Research any missing information.
• Enter the Production Plan via MPS and report any planning constraints to the Senior Production Planning Manager.
• Consistently review the LGIR and Power BI reports to ensure that the Production Plan is aligned with the Demand Plan. 
• Ensure plan integrity as per the Bill of Resources and Routing changes.
• Maintain the team's SOPs.
• Create a new resource in ERP and monitor the Materials Catalog of Live Goods and ensure accuracy.

• Must Reside in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic
• Bilingual in English and Spanish
• Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent experience in Production Planning and/or Supply Chain Management
• Strong understanding of Supply Chain Management activities
• Horticultural knowledge a plus but not required
• Strong Analytical and Critical Thinking skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong emphasis with Excel
