Job Responsibilities

  • Serve as the licensed
    Engineer of Record (EOR)
    responsible for the structural integrity and compliance of projects within the Dominican Republic.
  • Review, approve, and stamp structural engineering documents and drawings under service subcontracts while ensuring adherence to the relevant codes and regulations.
  • Coordinate responsively with project teams, contractors, and clients to facilitate smooth project execution.
  • Ensure all structural designs meet local building codes and international standards where applicable.
  • Maintain thorough documentation and compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements, including confidentiality under NDA agreements.
  • Provide expert structural engineering assessments and consultations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support project risk management by identifying potential structural issues and proposing effective solutions.

Required Qualifications

  • Licensed Professional Engineer authorized to sign structural documents in the Dominican Republic.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering, preferably with roles involving signing authority.
  • Strong expertise in structural engineering design principles.
  • Proficient understanding of local and international building codes and regulations.
  • College degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; Master's degree or higher is preferred.
  • English proficiency ranging from intermediate to fluent to support coordination and documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (Master's or Doctorate) in Structural Engineering or related fields.
  • Previous experience working in hybrid or remote collaborative environments.
  • Additional certifications or trainings related to structural safety, project management, or engineering standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage subcontract agreements and NDAs effectively.
