At Hire Smart, we are looking for a Medical Biller to play a critical role in managing patient billing information and ensuring accurate processing of medical claims. This position requires a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a high level of technical proficiency.

Responsibilities:
  • Claims Processing: Accurately prepare and submit billing data and medical claims to insurance companies, adhering to regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Patient Billing: Communicate with patients regarding their outstanding balances and assist them in understanding their bills, promoting transparency and trust.
  • Payment Reconciliation: Track payments, follow up on delinquent accounts, and establish payment arrangements with patients, minimizing financial disputes.
  • Billing System Management: Maintain and update billing software, ensuring all patient information is accurate and up-to-date, streamlining the billing process.
  • Claims Appeal: Investigate and appeal denied claims to maximize reimbursement for services provided, reducing financial losses.
  • Document Control: Prepare invoices and document amounts due for medical procedures and services, maintaining a clear audit trail.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality, protecting sensitive information.
Requirements:
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Biller or in a similar role, demonstrating expertise in medical billing processes.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in billing software and electronic medical records (EMR), leveraging technology to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Communication and Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, combined with strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to multitask effectively.
