Financial Director

We are seeking a highly experienced Director of Accounting to lead our financial operations in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. This role requires a strategic thinker with expertise in accounting, leadership capabilities, and fluency in English (C1 level) and Spanish.

• Financial Leadership: Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and inventory management.
• Financial Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in compliance with local and international accounting standards.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process and manage monthly and quarterly forecasts in alignment with the company's financial goals.
• Compliance & Taxation: Ensure compliance with all local tax regulations, manage audits, and maintain financial controls.
• Retail-Specific Accounting: Handle inventory accounting, cost analysis, and other financial planning specific to retail operations.
• Process Improvement: Develop and implement efficient accounting processes and internal controls to enhance accuracy.
• Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, ensuring high performance and continuous development.
• Collaboration: Collaborate closely with departments such as operations, sales, and procurement to align financial strategies with business objectives.

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master's degree or certifications such as CPA or ACCA are a plus.
• Experience: Minimum 7-10 years of accounting experience, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role, ideally within the retail sector.
• Language Skills: Proficiency in English (C1 level) and Spanish.

• Competitive Salary: RD$ 200,000 - RD$ 250,000.
